The prosecution dropped Oct. 5 all charges against a man who is accused of killing his 72-year-old girlfriend in April 2020.
Roderick Griffin, 57, was accused in connection to the death of his girlfriend, Lilian Herdnon. Herdnon was found dead in her home 11 days after her death on the 5500 block of the Alameda after her family had reported her missing.
The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the cause of death as asphyxiation.
Along with first-degree murder, Griffin was also charged with false imprisonment and theft between $1,500 and $25,000.
