On Nov. 2, at approximately 9:36 p.m., police and fire personnel responded to the 5900 block of Bonnie View Drive following reports of an active vehicle fire.

Once the fire was extinguished, fire personnel informed the police that there was a deceased person inside the vehicle.

The remains of the unidentified victim were transported to the Medical Examiner’s office, where efforts will be made to identify the victim and determine the cause of death.

Crash Team detectives are currently investigating the incident.

Western District Shooting Investigation
On Nov. 2, at approximately 11:43 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.
Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators learned the victim was shot while in the 600 block of Dukeland Street.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation
On Nov. 3, at approximately 12:23 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to a report of a person lying in the street on the 4200 block of Sheldon Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a 58-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

Western District Shooting Investigation
On Nov. 3, at approximately 3:29 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2200 block of McCulloh Street for a report of gunfire.
Once there, officers located a 29-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital where his injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening.
