Baltimore Man’s Body Recovered in New Jersey

On Nov. 1, Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 600 block of North Decker Street for a report of a missing person.

Once there, officers spoke to family members who stated that 39-year-old Pedie Edwards had not returned home and they were extremely concerned about his wellbeing.

Due to evidence obtained in reference to this missing person, the case was handed over to Homicide Detectives.

On Dec. 9, the body of an unidentified male was pulled from the water in Secaucus, N.J.

That body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in New Jersey, where the victim was identified as 39-year-old Pedie Edwards. Doctors in New Jersey ruled the death to be a homicide by shooting.

Officials in New Jersey reached out to Baltimore City Homicide Detectives on the findings of Pedie Edwards.
