A 29-year-old homeless Baltimore man accepted a plea offer for a non-fatal shooting before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn on April 27.
Adam Roberts is being charged with armed robbery, robbery, two counts of second-degree assault, theft of less than $100, use of a deadly weapon with intent to injure, and discharging firearms in connection to an incident on June 1, 2021.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of 10 years suspending all but three years with three years supervised probation for armed robbery.
Under the plea, the defendant must also complete drug training and treatment.
Roberts was represented by defense attorney Natalie Finegar.
According to the prosecution, the defendant robbed the victim at gunpoint on June 1, 2021. The victim only had four dollars for bus fare, which the defendant took before fleeing the scene.
The victim was able to flag down an officer and tell him what happened. Later, he positively identified the defendant in a photo array.
