Baltimore Man Has Trial Scheduled for September

A 35-year-old Baltimore man allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting had his trial scheduled for September on May 31 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn

Norman Jackson is charged with a firearm drug/trafficking crime, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute narcotics, discharging firearms, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Jan. 1, 2022. 

During the proceedings, the prosecutor presented a plea of 20 years, suspending all but eight years, with four years probation for possession of a firearm with a felony conviction and 15 years, suspending all but eight years, with four years probation for possession with the intent to distribute narcotics. 

Jackson and his defense attorney, Donald Wright, rejected the plea offer. 

Jackson’s trial is scheduled for Sept. 6 and is expected to last two days with Judge John A. Howard presiding.
