The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the early morning on June 14.
According to a news release, an off duty police sergeant was driving on the 2700 block of W. Belvedere Avenue around 1:43 a.m., where 31-year-old Darrell Fulton was found slumped over in the street. The Sergeant immediately exited his personal vehicle, called for additional units and rendered aid to the victim that informed the Sergeant that he had been shot, said police.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was last listed in critical condition.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot on the 3100 block of Spaulding Avenue by an unidentified suspect. The victim then fled to W. Belvedere on foot, where he was found.
