A 38-year-old Baltimore man accused of murder has rejected a plea offer for 50 years on Feb. 25 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.

Nicolas Figueroa is charged with first-degree murder and intent to injury with a deadly weapon in connection to an incident on March 29, 2021.

During reception court on Friday, Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of life suspending all but 50 years for first-degree murder.

Figueroa and his defense attorney, Marshall Henslee, rejected the plea offer.

According to CBS Baltimore, at approximately 9 p.m. officers were called to a stabbing near the intersection of Conkling and Pratt Street, where they found 30-year-old Marcus Wilson suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The 30-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary revealed that Wilson and his daughter were skateboarding to a store when they ran into Figueroa. Police said a dispute ensued and Wilson was stabbed in front of his child.

Figueroa’s next hearing is scheduled for Oct 18.
