Baltimore Police Department officers have arrested a 39-year-old man in connection to a fatal shooting on Nov. 15.
According to a news release, Baltimore resident Taiwan Mitchell was arrested for allegedly shooting 36-year-old Roy Henry Cantler III on Monday on the 2200 block of Christian Street after a dispute.
Police said Mitchell was interviewed at the department’s homicide section and then taken to Central Booking following his arrest.
Mitchell is charged with first and second-degree murder, according to the Maryland Judiciary website, and is being held without bail.
The defendant is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 16 at Baltimore City District Court.
