A 29-year-old Baltimore man accused of attempted first-degree murder rejected a plea of 50 years on Feb. 23 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Christopher Mooney is charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm during a violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of firearms, having a handgun on his person, illegal possession of ammo, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm within Baltimore city in connection to an incident on Sept. 3, 2021.
On Wednesday, Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of life suspending all but 50 years for first-degree attempted murder.
Mooney and his defense attorney Andrea Jaskulsky, rejected the plea offer
Mooney’s trial is scheduled for Oct. 24 with Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer.
