A 22-year-old Baltimore man accused of a non-fatal shooting rejected a plea of four years on March 29 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
The defendant is charged with first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm during a violent crime, firearm use in a drug trafficking crime, possession with the intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of firearms, having a handgun on his person, and discharging firearms in connection to an incident on Sept. 23, 2021.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of four years for possession with the intent to distribute narcotics and a concurrent four years, with 18 months of supervised probation, for illegal possession of a regulated firearm.
The defendant and his defense attorney, Jonathan Kerr, rejected the plea offer.
His trial is scheduled for June 14.
