A Baltimore man accepted a plea of five years in prison for involuntary manslaughter before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn on Aug. 29.
Jerome Faulkner, 39, was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter and neglect of a minor concerning an incident on Oct. 2, 2020.
The prosecutor presented a plea of 10 years, suspending all but five years with three years of supervised probation for involuntary manslaughter.
Faulkner and his defense attorney Karyn Meriwether, a stand-in for Amanda Savage, accepted the plea offer.
Earlier in August, Faulkner rejected the same plea offer, saying he wished to speak with his attorney, Savage, who was absent from the hearing.
