On Feb. 26, Jamal Davis appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland to set a new date for trial.

Davis’ defense attorney, Natalie Finegar, was in a previously scheduled trial, so a stand-in defense attorney requested a postponement for Davis’ trial.

Davis, 44, faces 11 charges including attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, firing and discharging a firearm, firearm use in a felony violent crime and having a handgun on his person.

Davis’ new trial date is set for June 6, 7 and 10.

According to documents from the District Court of Maryland, on Aug. 8, 2023, Baltimore Police Department officers were called to the 1700 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway for a shots fired call. The victim reported to officers that Davis shot at her after a verbal dispute occurred between the two. Hall had not been struck by either of the shots that Davis took at her.
