On March 27, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland set a trial date for 26-year-old Rudolph Riddick allegedly involved in two shooting incidents.

Riddick is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, firearm use in a felony violent crime, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, conspiracy to carry a handgun and conspiracy to use a firearm in a felony violent crime in connection to an August 2022 incident.

According to previous reporting, on Aug. 16, 2022, the first victim sustained three bullet wounds on the 1200 block of West Baltimore Street, and then the intended target was shot by a suspect in a moving vehicle.

Baltimore Police Department investigators believe Riddick was driving the vehicle while a second person — Dartagnan Smith — was in the rear driver’s side of the car, shooting the second victim. Smith accepted a plea agreement.

Judge Copeland set the trial date for June 20. It is expected to last four days. Riddick will appear with his attorney John Deros in front of Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer.
