On Tuesday, Feb. 6, Baltimore City Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland heard the case of a 31-year-old attempted murder defendant. Larry Winder III.
Larry Winder III is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, having a handgun on his person, discharging a firearm in Baltimore City and firearm use in a felony violent crime in connection to an incident occurring on Aug. 20, 2023, on the 4800 block of Beaufort Avenue.
Winder rejected a plea offer for 60 years, suspending all but 35 years, with five years of probation for the attempted first-degree murder charge.
Defense attorney Sabrina Wood stood in for attorney Roland Harris.
Judge Copeland continued the hearing to Feb. 15 so counsel could find a trial date.
Winder was denied bail for the crime, after allegedly shooting his ex-fiancee in the head, in October 2023.
