A Baltimore man charged in connection to an attempted murder rejected a plea offer during reception court on Sept. 21 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.

Levern Samuels, 33, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and four firearms-related charges.

The prosecution offered a plea of second-degree murder, one firearms charge, and a condition where the defendant must attend drug and alcohol treatmet.

Samuels and his defense attorney, Jason Silverstein, rejected the offer.


Judge Melissa Phinn set a trial date for March 23, 2022.
