Attempted Murder Defendant Rejects Plea Deal

On March 11, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland set a trial date for 27-year-old Devaun Jones

Jones is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of reckless endangerment and single counts of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, conspiracy to use a firearm in a felony violent crime, carrying a gun on his  person, discharging a firearm and carrying a handgun within 100 yards of the public in connection to a June 2, 2023 incident. 

The prosecution offered Jones a plea deal which he rejected.
Judge Copeland set the trial date for July 23. It is expected to last three days and Jones will appear with his attorney Robert D. Cole, Jr..
