Attempted murder suspect Joe Johnson will head to trial in the late spring of 2022 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
The 27-year-old Baltimore resident is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and conspiracy as well as seven weapons charges.
The incident occurred on New Year’s Day in 2019.
On Dec. 20, defense attorney Deborah Warner-Dennis and the prosecution agreed on a trial date of May 16, 2022, which was approved by Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Johnson, who was originally scheduled to appear in-person on Monday, last appeared in court nearly six months ago when he rejected a plea offer.
