Attempted Murder Defendant Accepts Five Year Plea Offer

A 35-year-old attempted murder defendant took a plea for having a handgun in a vehicle charge in Baltimore City Circuit Court June 5. 

Andrew Lindsey was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of firearm use in a felony violent crime, carrying a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, discharging a firearm in Baltimore City and committing a crime against a racial and/or religious person or group.

These charges are in connection to a July 28, 2023, incident. 

Lindsey appeared in court today with his attorney Jason Silverstein before Judge Timothy J. Doory. He pleaded guilty to one count of having a handgun in his vehicle and accepted a plea of five years in prison, suspending all but one year and three years of supervised probation. 

The sentence began when Lindsey was arrested in July of 2023, so he is expected to be out this July.
