Two Baltimore City Circuit Court attempted murder co-defendants rejected identical plea offers before Judge Melissa K. Copeland on Jan. 9.

Trey Allen, 33, is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person and his vehicle, firearm use in a felony violent crime, having a gun within 100 yards of the public, firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, conspiracies to commit first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle on a public road and firearm use in a felony violent crime.

Tyree Boone, 32, is charged with all of the above and possession of narcotics with intent to manufacture, distribute or disperse, having a firearm in a drug trafficking offense and conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to manufacture, distribute or disperse.

The prosecutor offered both men plea offers of 60 years, suspending all but 30 years, with five years of probation for attempted first-degree murder, a concurrent five years without the possibility of parole for firearm use in a felony violent crime and five years without the possibility of parole for firearm possession with a felony conviction, to run consecutively to the firearm use sentence.

Allen rejected the offer via his attorney, Roya Hanna, and Boone did likewise with his public defender, Matthew Connell.

Boone told the court he had retained private defense attorney Michael Tomko, but Judge Copeland said that Tomko had not yet officially entered his appearance in the case yet.

Judge Copeland scheduled the joint trial to begin on April 9 before Judge Melissa M. Phinn. The trial is expected to last for five days.
