The trial for attempted homicide defendant Devon Murray was postponed on Friday before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn, more than two months from his original trial date of Dec. 2.
Murray, 31, is currently facing attempted first and second-degree murder in addition to assault, reckless endangerment, and firearm use in a felony violent crime in connection to an incident on Sept. 25, 2019.
According to the Maryland Judiciary website, Murray’s new trial date is slated for Feb. 8.
The defendant previously rejected a plea offer from the prosecution in February for 35 years, suspending all but 20 years, with three years probation for attempted first-degree murder and a concurrent five years without parole for reckless endangerment.
