Attempted Homicide Defendant’s Trial Begins Today

On July 19, attempted homicide defendant’s trial was scheduled to begin with jury selection.. 

Kamon Smith, 44, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment in connection to an incident that occurred on Sept. 11, 2020. 

Smith was represented by panel attorney James Sweeting III. 

The trial is expected to last for two days.
