A man accused of murdering a Department of Public Works employee was offered a plea during reception court Oct. 5 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Pierre Foster Jr., 28, is charged with the fatal shooting of Dayvon Mason and a non-fatal shooting of another victim on April 23. The shooting took place around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of York Road and Cold Spring Lane.
Foster is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of firearm use in a felony crime, attempted first-degree murder, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
The plea offer is life for each count of first-degree murder to be served consecutively, and 20 years for firearm use in a felony crime and attempted first-degree murder to be served concurrently with the life sentences.
Counsel is still waiting for body camera footage from the police, a colleague filling in for Foster’s defense attorney, Michael Cooper, said.
Foster will return to reception court on Nov. 4 to accept or reject the plea. Depending on the defendant’s decision, a trial date could be set at the next hearing.
