The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the afternoon on Feb. 8.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 600 block of South Smallwood Street at approximately 2:06 p.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The medics took the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Southwest District Shooting detectives assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators , at 410-396-2488.
