On July 16, at around 8:46 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 3200 block of Lawnview Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers observed 32-year-old John Parrish suffering from a life-threatening gunshot. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Officers apprehended a 41-year-old male suspect in reference to this incident, and he now remains in police custody.
Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Update: Parrish was pronounced deceased on July 18.
