On Dec. 18, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn continued a hearing for an 18-year-old attempted murder defendant.

Zion Davis is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first- and second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, conspiracy to use a firearm in a felony violent crime, conspiracy to have a handgun on his person and conspiracy to have a loaded handgun on his person in connection to a Jan. 6 incident.

Davis rejected the prosecution’s plea offer of 60 years, suspending all but 25 years, with three years of probation for attempted first-degree murder and a concurrent 20 years, the first five without parole, for firearm use in a felony violent crime. Davis would also be required to register as a gun offender and stay away from the victims in this case.

Defense attorney Natalie Finegar agreed to reappear in reception court on Dec. 22 to schedule Davis’ trial because the assigned prosecutor was not present to schedule the trial today.
