March Attempted Murder Defendant Rejects Plea

On Nov. 2, an attempted murder defendant rejected a plea offer before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Dana M. Middleton.

Karen Terry is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, firing a gun in Baltimore City, having a gun within 100 yards of the public, having a handgun on her person and having a handgun in her vehicle in connection to a March 18 incident.

The prosecution offered 35-year-old Terry a suspended 10 year sentence with three years of supervised probation for first-degree assault and five years in prison without the possibility of parole for firearm use in a felony violent crime.

Terry’s stand-in defense attorney Daniel Mooney told the court she was not interested in the offer.

Judge Middleton set Terry’s trial to begin on Jan. 5, 2024, before herself.
