Officers Report Fatal Cutting in Western District

On Aug. 26, at approximately 5:44 a.m., officers responded to a residence located on the 1600 block of Monroe Street to investigate a call for a cutting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive 43-year-old female suffering from numerous life-threatening stab wounds. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
