Southeast District Detectives Seek Answer in Carjacking Turned Non-Fatal Shooting on North Montford Avenue

On Aug. 21, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department were in the 500 block of McElderry Street, when they located a shooting victim at the corner of McElderry at Lakewood Avenue.

Medics responded to the location and transported the 33-year-old male victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot during the course of an attempted carjacking, on the 400 block of North Montford Avenue.
