Northern District Detectives Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Gorsuch Avenue Homicide Investigation

On Aug. 6, at approximately 3:31 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of East 33rd Street to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that an unknown individual was shot and was transported to an area hospital.

Officers arrived at an area hospital and observed 29-year-old Codell Brown suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest, leg, and stomach. Brown later died from his injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident had occurred on the 500 block of Gorsuch Avenue.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
