“I’m sorry. I don’t mean nothing like that.”

Defendant William Brown addressed the victim’s mother on March 13 as he pleaded guilty before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Videtta Brown for murdering 37-year-old Dominic Bullock in April 2022.

According to CBS News Baltimore, officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of North Highland Avenue. Bullock was found shot multiple times and was pronounced dead. A second victim was found inside a nearby home and was critically injured.

The prosecution stated that Brown, 31, and Bullock had gotten into an argument over a phone, which turned violent. Brown was quoted saying, “this could have been avoided if you just gave me my stuff.”

The prosecution offered Brown a plea of 40 years, suspending all but 20 years with five years of supervised probation for second-degree murder and a consecutive 20 years for first-degree assault.

A negotiated plea was implemented between counsels, in which Brown will also be recommended to participate in an eligible program for his mental health needs.

Brown and his defense attorney, Marci Johnson, accepted the plea offered to him.

Johnson stated that Brown had never been in trouble with the law before, and he was very cooperative and remorseful about the incident.
