Man Accused of 2010 Shootout Has Case Postponed

The case of a non-fatal shooting defendant was postponed on Feb. 9, with plans to return to reception court on Feb. 17 to determine whether the prosecution will proceed with his remanded case.

Davon Gordon, also known as Davon Clark, is in the process of being retried for two weapons charges after his 2011 conviction was successfully appealed in connection to a shooting on May 16, 2010.

The 35-year-old defendant’s case was scheduled for reception court on Thursday before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn but was pushed to next week.

According to court documents, Baltimore Police were called to the 1700 block of W. Fayette St. for reports of shots fired. Further investigation revealed that the suspect, later identified as Gordon, was firing a gun at a man while standing at the intersection of Fayette and Bruce streets. Witnesses told police that the man returned fire before both men ran away.

A woman, who was sitting in a car behind Gordon, was shot in her lower torso and right thigh during the shootout.
