On Nov. 29, a defendant accused of attempted first-degree murder appeared on the reception court docket before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.
The prosecution had no plea offer for Antionne Johnson as defense attorney Roland Harris said he was awaiting approval for a mental health court evaluation.
The next hearing for Johnson, 31, is scheduled for Dec. 7, with Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale Rasin presiding.
According to CBS News Baltimore, Johnson shot a 26-year-old man several times on the 2400 block of Greenmount Avenue on May 4, 2022. The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Johnson is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, discharging a firearm, armed carjacking, carjacking, theft valued between $1,500 and $25,000, two counts of possessing a firearm with a felony conviction, having a handgun on his person, and having a handgun in a vehicle in connection to the attempted murder of the victim.
