Walk-In Victim Reported in Northwest District with Non-Fatal Shooting to the Head

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) is investigating a shooting that happened in the late afternoon on Dec. 20. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 5200 block of Reisterstown Road at 4:43 p.m. for reports of shots being fired. Once they arrived, officers canvassed the area and were unable to find any victims or suspects at the scene.  

A short time later, officers were notified about a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital. The victim believed he had been struck in the head with an object causing injuries. After an examination, hospital medical personnel discovered that the adult male victim had been shot in the head. 

Northwest District shooting detectives have assumed control over the investigation. Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2466.
