A Baltimore man has accepted a plea deal offered by the prosecution in exchange for testifying against his two co-defendants for injuring one teen and murdering another in a 2018 shooting.
Shawn Little was charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder for the death of 17-year-old Ray Glasgow and attempting to kill three others.
On Sept. 30, he pleaded guilty to the counts and is likely to receive a total of 10 years in prison with 5 years of probation, according to the agreement. Little is expected to testify in the 2023 jury trial of his two co-defendants, Bradley Mitchell and Eric Jackson.
At 6:06 p.m. on May 5, police discovered four victims who had been ambushed while sitting in a black Honda Accord on the 100 block of South Broadway Street. Glasgow, who sustained three gunshot wounds to the torso, was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Another victim, an 18-year-old friend of Glasgow, was shot twice but survived. Two more uninjured victims were in the backseat of the car during the shooting.
According to a surviving witness, the three defendants pulled up behind the victims in a white Nissan Altima and fired an assault rifle into the Accord. Little, who was later identified as one of the three suspects, told police that Jackson drove the car and Mitchell fired the gun. The two were subsequently arrested and charged.
Little is being held on remand by Judge Melissa K. Copeland until his sentencing, which will take place on March 27, 2023.
Mitchell and Jackson are scheduled to go to trial on Jan. 12, 2023.
