Eastern District Shooting Investigation
On August 5, 2026, at approximately 7:59 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 1500 block of East Lafayette Avenue for a reported shooting investigation.
Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Eastern District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
