The murder case against Kameron Oliver was postponed Aug. 6 after the defense requested additional time to review the prosecution’s evidence.
The initial hearing took place before Baltimore City Circuit Judge Anthony F. Vittoria, then the matter was transferred to Reception Court, with Judge Melissa Copeland presiding.
Oliver, 25, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime, and wearing, carrying, or transporting a handgun in connection with the March 13, 2024, death of 49-year-old Christine Liddie-Rozzell.
According to court documents, Liddie-Rozzell was discovered on a pathway near Windsor Mill Road School, shot in the head. Investigators identified Oliver as a suspect through DNA evidence recovered from the scene, surveillance footage, and material obtained from a search warrant at his residence.
Defense attorney Allan H. Rombro requested a postponement to obtain additional medical records and consult with the forensic pathologist to review technical information as part of the discovery process.
Oliver waived his July 29 Hicks speedy trial deadline date, and the court granted the postponement.
The trial is now scheduled to begin Dec. 2.
