A 36-year-old Baltimore man involved in a non-fatal shooting rejected a 10 year plea on Sept. 26 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn

The defendant is charged with possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammo, having a handgun in a vehicle, discharging firearms, and reckless endangerment in connection to an incident on May 26.

The prosecutor presented a plea of 10 years, suspending all but five years without the possibility of parole for possession of a firearm with a felony conviction.

Under the plea, the defendant would also have been required to register as a gun offender.

Edwards’ trial is scheduled for Feb. 15, 2023. According to counsel, it expected to last two days. Judge Jeannie Hong is slated to preside over the trial.
