After courts resumed from being shut down due to the rise in COVID-19 cases from late December 2021 to March 2022, Baltimore City Circuit Courts has had numerous first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and firearm/assault offenses sentences from June 2021 to July 17.
According to Baltimore Witness data, the courts have sentenced more than 200 defendants, including nearly 69 defendants for first-degree murder and 67 defendants for attempted first-degree murder.
