Juvenile Charged as Adult for Attempted Murder Denied Bail

A young man who is being charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder was denied bail on June 10.

Justin Krigger and his defense attorney appeared in Baltimore City Circuit Court on Friday for a bail review.  According to Judge Philip Jackson, Krigger, who was 17 years old at the time of the incident, allegedly shot an individual during a robbery.

The defense attorney informed the court that Krigger’s parents were fighting for their child to be released on total house arrest due to his deteriorating mental health. The bail review was previously postponed for two weeks due to Krigger’s absence.

The defendant has been incarcerated since Jan. 20.

Judge Jackson agreed with pretrial services to keep Krigger held without bail.

Krigger is next scheduled for a transfer hearing on July 28.
