Case Not Called for 38-Year-Old Attempted Murder Defendant Accused of Being Getaway Driver in Shooting

A Baltimore resident accused of being the driver in a shooting did not have his case called on March 17 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.

Johnathan Williams, 38, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, accessory to after the fact of first and second-degree murder and two counts of having a handgun in a vehicle on a public road in connection to an incident that occurred on Sept. 25, 2021.

Williams was represented by defense attorney William Gibbs Jr.

According to CBS Baltimore, on Sept. 25, 2021, at approximately 5:24p.m., the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 3500 block of Brehms Lane for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in serious condition, according to police.

Unrelated to this case, Williams’ has a future court date scheduled on June 10 for a recent violation of his probation, according to Maryland’s Judiciary website.

Williams’ next hearing has not yet been determined.
