35-Year-Old Man Shot on South Payson Street

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the morning hours on Feb. 11. 

According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 500 block of South Payson Street at approximately 9:33 a.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found 35-year-old Dominic Dirton suffering from a gunshot wound.

The medics took the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead. 

Homicide investigators have assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators, at 410-396-2100.
