A 42-year-old man has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old man on Jan. 27.
The Baltimore Police Department reported the arrest of Jamal Smith a day after the incident that occurred around 9:10 p.m. on the 1500 block of E. 28th Street.
Officers were called to the scene where they found the victim with an apparent stab wound to his body. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
Following his arrest, Smith was interviewed at the homicide section and then taken to Central Booking and charged with first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Jamal Smith is currently waiting to see a court commissioner.
