Baltimore Man Arrested for July 2021 Homicide

The Baltimore Police Department arrested Bryon Lewis for the homicide in the late evening hours on July 12, 2021. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 2200 block of Reisterstown Road at approximately 9:29 p.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found 32-year-old Shammarh Jenkins suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Jenkins was playing cards in front of his home when a suspect approached, the two talked and a shot was fired without warning, police said. A warrant was issued on Dec. 2, 2021. 

Lewis was arrested on Dec. 8, 2021 and charged with first-degree murder.
