A 48-year-old man accused of a murder more than five years ago remains compliant yet incompetent to stand trial following a mental health court status hearing on Jan. 5.
Baltimore resident Andrew Richardson was charged with first-degree murder, which occurred in July 2016. He was ruled incompetent to stand trial in June 2017, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
On Wednesday, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin was brief in her review of Richardson’s case, saying that he is doing well and is compliant. Defense attorney Sharon Bogins Eberhart represented Richardson.
The defendant is scheduled to return for another status hearing on Feb. 2 in mental health court.
