Baltimore Police Investigate 3 Shootings Within 30 Minutes

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating three shootings within 30 minutes on Dec. 11, one of which was fatal.

According to a news release, the first of the three shootings occurred around 1:37 p.m. on the 1500 block of Marshall Street where police saw signs of forced entry into a home. Officers went inside the home and found an unresponsive 41-year-old woman, later identified as Tara Labang, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics pronounced Labang dead at the scene.

Approximately one minute later, police said, other officers were called to the 900 block of Herndon Court where they found a 3-year-old girl with a gunshot graze wound.

The toddler was taken to a hospital for treatment as police continue their investigation.

A third shooting occurred less than 30 minutes later around 2:05 p.m., police said, on the 1900 block of N. Monroe Street. When officers arrived, they found a 47-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The victim informed police that he was walking around Mount at Baker Street when he heard gunfire and then felt pain in his shoulder. He then alerted police when he got to N. Monroe Street.
