Four co-defendants’ reception court hearing for a murder case was rescheduled on Oct. 1 to the following week.

Kevin Cleveland, 27, was scheduled for reception court on Friday along with three co-defendants, Antoine Trent, Damien Mickens, and Jabez Johnson.

Mickens and Johnson are both charged with three counts of first-degree murder, three counts of felony use of a firearm in a violent crime, first and second-degree assault, and possession of a firearm as a minor.

Cleveland and Trent are also charged with three counts of first-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, and three counts of felony use of a firearm in a violent crime.

On Aug. 10, the prosecution relayed an offer of life, suspending all but 70 years, for two counts of first-degree murder, but this was rejected.

Judge Melissa M. Phinn found that none of the defendants’ counsel,  Natalie Finegar, Larry Rogers, Kenneth Man, and Stephanie Salter had agreed to a trial date and asked them to return to reception court on Oct. 5 with their decision.
