A Baltimore man was offered a plea deal during reception court Sept. 27 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Larry Jackson, 31, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault, theft less than $100, use of a firearm in a violent crime, possession of a firearm with felony conviction, having a handgun on his person, discharging a firearm, and reckless endangerment.
He was charged in connection to an incident on Feb. 13, 2020.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of life, suspending all but 30 years, with three years probation for attempted first-degree murder, and 20 years served concurrently with the first five years without parole for use of a firearm in a violent crime.
The defendant and his defense attorney, Robert Cohen, have not yet decided whether to accept or decline the plea. In addition, Jackson decided to maintain his Hick’s date, which is his right to be tried within 180 days of his first court appearance.
A trial for Jackson has been scheduled for March 21, 2022.
