The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) has ruled an April shooting was self-inflicted. The case has since been removed from the yearly non-fatal shooting count.
On April 11, at approximately 5:11 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting victim who had walked into an area hospital seeking treatment.
Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. Her injury was deemed non-life-threatening at the time.
