62-Year-Old Man Shot Following Dispute in Central Baltimore

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Central District.

On May 21, at approximately 1:08 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of E. Lombard Street to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 62-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking with friends in the 900 block of E. Lombard Street when they were approached by four unknown men. Words were exchanged and one of the males discharged a firearm, striking the victim.

The victim and his friends then ran to the 1000 block of E. Lombard Street and called police.
