Man Shot on St. Paul Street During Early Morning Hours, Expected to Survive

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an investigation into a non-fatal shooting incident that occurred in the Central District.

On Dec. 13, at approximately 2:58 a.m., Central District officers attempted to stop a vehicle driving erratically near S. Central Avenue and E. Baltimore Street.

The vehicle fled to a nearby hospital, where it was discovered that a 20-year-old male passenger was seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, and preliminary investigation indicated the shooting occurred on the 1000 block of St. Paul Street.

Central District shooting detectives assumed control over the investigation.
